This headband would be great made out of t-shirts as the tutorial suggests, but I wanted something a little dressier that I could wear to work, so I made mine out of black ribbon, and it turned out great.
Because the ribbon wasn’t stretchy like t-shirts, I had to add some elastic to the back. I just hand sewed the elastic to the braided ribbon, then sewed a bit of ribbon around the seams to make it a little cleaner looking. I’ll definitely be making more of these. It’s a quick, easy project, and adds a little interest to a hairstyle.
